Somewhere deep in the northern forests, lies a hidden shrine dedicated to the King of Hell. In that shrine, a priestess betrothed to her patron god from birth.

Selected from a long lineage of shrine maidens, it was her sacred duty to embody the will of the god Enma. To that duty, she was loyal and true-until the day she wasn’t.

Blinded by her naive dreams of freedom, the priestess allowed a soldier from a distant land to distract her from her destiny. The foolish pair thought themselves lovers. Daring to believe they were the masters of their own fates, the two fled the forests, ignorant of the tragedies that would soon befall them.

The priestess will wander these realms forever. That is her penance.

Now it is time for yours.

Pixel Canvas Studios is excited to finally reveal Reiko's Fragment's first major update, Shrine.

Throughout the course of production, we had a lot of ideas we wanted to visit. The haunted house was a no brainer and wanted to established that map first before moving on to other ideas. Shrine was everything we were wanting to explore. An outside environment, weather elements, new design, and audio. Everything fits so perfectly. When I say perfectly, I mean terrifying.

Shrine is easily the most intense experience yet, that truly haunting experience when the Fog rolls across the map, unable to see around you, hearing the ghost walk towards you. Gets my heart panicking every time.

Shrine is a Free update and will be available on December 19th. Reiko's Fragments is still an Early Access title so you can expect more updates similar to this in the upcoming future.
